On a somewhat related note

If this is how it really went down every Sunday, maybe us non mothers wouldn't feel need to boycott church on Mothers day

  1. Ugh. So, while boycotting church I went and got my nails done. (Scandalous, I know.) The nail tech asked me why I didn't have any children since I'd been married for so long. I could have slapped her.

    There is no escape!

  2. try to keep your head up. while i don't pretend to know what it's like for you, i do know that being mother is a part of our divine role as women-and it doesn't require to have kids right now. it's an inherent part of women. like your post about adoption. all three of you ladies were mothers there. you were all loving and supportive and caring for God's children (the baby as well as each other). so while you might not be a biological mother, don't think that it's not a part of you (i think of all your fb posts about kids you work with, you help them so much). i'm sorry if you feel that separation in your ward. i hope it gets better.
